These are poems and stories we have read and have helped us cope with our loss.I hope they can help you. OH MOTHER, MY MOTHER I TOUCH YOUR TEARS INVISIBLE FINGERS SOOTHING YOUR SKIN I KNOW YOU THINK OF ME SO OFTEN IN THE DAY, IN THE NIGHT, IN YOUR DREAMS GOING INTO AN EMPTY NURSERY KNOWING I'LL NEVER BE THERE BUT I AM... IN YOUR HEART IN YOUR SOUL, I SHALL ALWAYS BE FOR YOU GAVE SO UNSELFISHLY OF YOURSELF. INSIDE OF YOU, YOU CREATED SUCH A WORLD FOR ME A WORLD OF LAUGHTER, OF LOVE, OF SADDNESS, OF SORROW EVERY EMOTION PEOPLE COME TO KNOW YOU SHARED WITH ME. AND EVEN THOUGH I MAY NEVER FEEL YOUR ARMS AROUND ME I FELT YOUR HEART BEATING, LIKE A LULLABY, SINGING ME TO SLEEP AND YOUR SPIRIT GIVING ME A SAFE HAVEN ALREADY PROTECTING ME NURTURING ME PREPARING ME OF THINGS TO COME. BUT SOMETINES THE JOURNEY OF LIFE PULLS SOULS APART AND YES, I HAD TO GO ON TO ANOTHER PLACE. I WISH I COULD STAY I WISH THIS WAS A DECISION I COULD MAKE AND I KNOW YOU DO TOO. KNOW THIS WHEREVER YOU ARE: I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOURS WAS THE FIRST LOVE, THE FIRST JOY, THE FIRST SOUL I WILL EVER KNOW YOU GAVE ME THE COURAGE TO GO ON IN MY JOURNEY I HOPE I CAN DO THE SAME FOR YOU YOUR HEART BEAT WILL ALWAYS CALL ME TO YOU LOVE, RYAN
OH FATHER,MY FATHER Close you eyes and feel me near keep me inside you heart let me live in your soul you see through tears the things we will never do running across the fields of my youth games never played but it is not gone those dreams you hold so close for I live on every child you see little ones standing alone...lost or laughing in a playground swinging so high touching the tree tops that is I wanting just to love feel my happiness in the song of a bird see my sorrow in mother hold her close forever feeling your strength for there will be one to come behind me whether through God's grace or from a different calling a child chosen through his hand. for in darkness, a light will appear even if it is just the dawn singnaling a new begining and as you gather my mother to your heart release your tears let the healing begin and discover that I am here in you dreams in your tomorrows every rainbow is the path home and if you should stumble I am the wings that shall lift you Love Ryan

| Angel Wings A precious angel slipped away, no one heard a cry. No time for Dad and Mommy to sing me lullabies. My time with you was much too short. I had to leave too soon, But love had joined us as I grew inside my Mommy's womb. It wove it's way within our hearts, in all our hopes and dreams, Until the very purest love became my tiny wings. Although I could not stay with you, I knew right from the start, That once you felt your angel's love, you'd keep me in your hearts. I'm just a little angel but my time was not in vain. As dark clouds that surround you give way unto the sun, My precious parents you will see that any heart will sing, If only for a moment it is brushed by angel wings. By Jean Rozon Tiny Angels
Tiny anges rest your wings, sit with me for a while. How I long to hold your hand, and see your tender smile. tiny angel, look at me, I want this image clear... That I will forget your precious face, Is my biggest fear. tiny angel can you tell me, Why you have gone away? You weren't here for very long... Why is it, you couldn't stay? Tiny angel shook his head, "These things I do not know... But I do know that you love me, and that I love you so." Footprints Across our Heart
The door is closed. The lights turned off. The closet stands bare. All the room once waiting... For the child that should be there.
Sorrow wells up inside of us. Our tears, an endless flow. All because we miss the child... The child we'll never know
No camping trips, No soccer games, Nor late evening talks, No baseball camps or shopping trips No shaded moutain walks.
We have not even memories To help through times like these We only have each other , as we go down on our knees...
To plead with you, our Father, To take this pain away... To help us know your love will guide us through each day.
We may never know the reasons For this terrible tragedy; But we can know you love us through all life's mysteries.
Our time was far too brief; It was over before its start... But our little angel left behind Footprints Across Our Heart
Poem by W.Patrick Queen Angel of Mine I felt an angel near today, Though one I could not see, I felt an angel, oh, so close, Sent to comfort me. I felt an angel's gentle kiss, Soft upon my cheek, And oh, whitout a single word Of caring it did speak. I felt an angels loving touch, Soft upon my heart, And with that touch, I felt the pain And hurt within depart. I felt an angel's tepid tears, Fall softly next to mine And knew that as those tears did dry A new day would be mine. I felt an angel's silken wings Enfold me with pure love And felt a strength within me grow A strength sent from above. I felt an angel, oh so close Though one I could not see I felt an angel near today, Sent to comfort me.
"Ask My Mom How She Is" My Mom, she tells a lot of lies, she never did before But from now until she dies, She'll tell a whole lot more. Ask my Mom how she is, And because she can't explain, She will tell a little lie because she can't describe the pain. Ask my Mom how she is, She'll say "I'm alright." If that is the truth, then tell me, Why does she cry each night? Ask my Mom how she is She seems to cope so well, She didn't have a choice you see, Nor the strenght to yell. Ask my Mom how she is, "I'm fine, I'm well, I'm coping." For God's sake Mom, Just tell the truth, Just say your heart is broken. She'll love me all her life I loved her all of mine. But if you ask her how she is, She'll lie and say she's fine. I am here in Heaven I cannot hug her from here. If she lies to you don't listen Hug her and hold her near. On the day we meet again, We'll smile and I'll be bold. I'll say, "You're lucky to get in here,Mom, With all the lies you Told!" Author Joanne Burr
Candlelit Heart A Christmas Poem by Mary E. Linton
Somewhere across the winter world tonight You will be hearing chimes that fill the air; Christmas extends its all-enfolding light Across the distance...something we can share.
You will be singing, just the same as I, These familiar songs we know so well, And you will see these same stars in your sky And wish upon that brightest one that fell.
I shall remember you and trim my tree, One shining star upon the topmost bough; I will hang wreaths of faith that all may see -- Tonight I glimpse beyond the hear and now.
And all the time that we must be apart I keep a candle in my heart.
| | Pennies From Heaven I found a penny today, just laying on the ground. But it is not just a penny, this little coin I found. Found pennies come from heaven, thats what my Grandpa told me. He said Angels toss then down, oh how I loved that story. He said when an Angel misses you, they toss a penny down. Sometimes just to cheer you up, make a smile out of your frown. So don't pass by that penny when you're feeling blue. It may be a penny from heaven, that an Angel's tossed to you.

What Makes A Mother? I thought of you and closed my eyes And prayed to God today I asked "What makes a Mother?" And I know I heard Him say.
"A Mother has a baby" This we know is true "But God can you be a Mother, When your baby's not with you?"
"Yes, you can," He replied With confidence in His voice "I give many women babies, When they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime, And others for the day. And some I send to feel your womb, But there's no need to stay."
"I just don't understand this God I want my baby to be here." He took a deep breath and cleared His throat, And then I saw the tear.
"I wish I could show you, What your child is doing today. If you could see your child's smile, With all the other children and say...
'We go to Earth to learn our lessons, Of love and life and fear. My Mommy loved me oh so much, I got to come strait here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom, Who had so much love for me. I learned my lessons very quickly, My Mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much, But I visit her every day. When she goes to sleep, On her pillow's where I lay
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek, And whisper in her ear. Mommy don't be sad today, I'm your baby and I'm here.'
"So you see my dear sweet ones, your children are okay. Your babies are born here in My home, And this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with Me, Until your lesson's through. And on the day that you come home they'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother, It's the feeling in your heart it's the love you had so much of Right from the very start
Though some on earth may not realize, you are a Mother. Until their time is done. They'll be up here with Me one day and know that you are the best one!"
I'll Be There Daddy please don't look so sad,Mummy please don't cry. Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus and he sings me lullabies. Please, try not to question god, don't think he is unkind. Don't think he sent me to you, and then he changed his mind. You see I am a special child, and I'm needed up above. I'm the special gift you gave him, I'm a product of your love. I'll always be there with you, and watch the sky at night. Just find the brightest gleeming star, thats my halo shining light. You'll see me in the morning frost, that mists your window pane. that's me in all the summer showers, dancing in the rain. When you feel a little breeze, from a gentle wind that blows. Thats me, I'll be there, planting kisses on your nose. When you see a child thats playing and your heart feels a tug. Thats me, I'll be there giving your heart a hug. So daddy please don't look so sad, and mummy please don't cry. I'm in the arms of Jesus, and he sings me lullabies.

A DAD'S GRIEF It must be very difficult to be a man in grief since men don't cry and men are strong no tears can bring relief. It must be very difficult to stand up to the test and take the calls and visitors so she can get some rest
They always ask if she's all right and what she's going through but seldom take his hand and ask "My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night and thinks his heart will break he dries her tears and comforts her but stays strong for her sake
It must be very difficult to start each day anew and try to be so very brave He lost his baby too.
